Oh yeah, and before I forget, I wanted to add a little rant about the California recall.

First of all, it's become a spectacular CIRCUS. Way to really prove how positive a recall can be for a state!

Secondly, the number of people that come out to vote is historically low in this country. So what the hell are they people complaining about now, since they didn't find it important enough to cast their opinion in the first place? People that didn't vote in the general election should have no part in this, they already gave up their right to choose representation. Their signatures on the recall shouldn't count. Not like that would ever happen or be deemed legal, but it makes sense to me!

So instead of just learning from their mistakes, and waiting until the next election to choose a new governor, we've got to have this extremely expensive recall NOW (ironic since the reason people want Davis recalled is fiscal irresponsibility)!

Thirdly, the guy we're likely going to get instead is someone who has not stated his policy on one goddamn issue, but claims he will clean house up in Sacramento. Yeah, it's going to be that easy for him.

Fourthly, the fiscal crisis in California isn't just Davis's fault. As I recall, the legislators up in our state congress hemmed and hawed about the budgest as much, or more, than he did. And they're getting paid by us to do it! Lovely. Plus, Davis has to deal with extreme cuts from the federal end of the funding. That's not his fault! And since I really think the fiscal crisis is much more representative of a national problem, and if fiscal responsibility is cause enough for a recall, let's impeach Bush! Not only is he being fiscally irresonsible by pumping $4 billion a month into Iraq alone (which I guess doesn't matter since we are getting the Iraqi oil money...oh he said that was going into a trust fund? Yeah, but didn't you hear, the "trust fund" money is going to the U.S. to pay for the services we did to them in the Gulf War.) and giving out huge tax cuts (let's be honest, mostly to the rich) while at the same time pulling stunts on aircraft carriers that do cost us money...Hell, I don't want to go on, it depresses me.

I should be governor! Or better yet, president...But that campaign isn't turning into a circus either.
